Terms & Conditions for Custom Orders
By placing a custom order with Tectona Furniture, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Order Confirmation
- A custom order is confirmed only after a deposit of 50% of the total quoted price has been received.
- The remaining balance must be settled before delivery or upon completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Design & Specifications
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate details including dimensions, style preferences, wood finish, and special features.
- We will provide design sketches or mockups (where applicable) for customer approval before production begins.
- Once approved, major design changes cannot be made without additional costs and may affect the delivery timeline.
3. Production Timeline
- Custom furniture typically requires 1–2 months for completion, depending on complexity and workload.
- We will keep you updated on progress and may request your feedback at certain stages.
- Delays caused by design changes, late feedback, or unforeseen circumstances may extend the timeline.
4. Materials & Craftsmanship
- All furniture is handcrafted using premium teakwood and other solid woods.
- Due to the natural characteristics of solid wood, variations in grain, color, and texture are normal and add to the uniqueness of each piece.
- We cannot guarantee exact replication of reference images but will stay true to the approved design.
5. Payments & Cancellations
- Deposits are non-refundable once production has started.
- If the customer cancels the order before production, an administration fee of 10% may be charged.
- Failure to settle the remaining balance within 5 days of completion may result in delayed delivery or forfeiture of the order.
6. Delivery & Installation
- Delivery charges will be calculated based on location and furniture size.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring sufficient access for delivery and installation (doorways, staircases, lifts, etc.).
- Additional fees may apply for difficult access or special handling requirements.
7. Warranty & After-Sales
- Our custom furniture comes with a 6-months warranty covering structural integrity under normal use.
- The warranty does not cover natural wear and tear, changes in wood due to humidity/temperature, misuse, or unauthorized modifications.
8. Customer Collaboration
- We encourage open communication throughout the process and welcome feedback or suggestions.
- Customers must respond to progress updates in a timely manner to avoid production delays.
9. Intellectual Property
- All original designs created by Tectona Furniture remain our intellectual property and may be used in our portfolio, marketing, or future collections unless otherwise agreed.
10. Acceptance of Terms
- By confirming your custom order and paying the deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
